Is the R1M stock, flashed, tuned, re-geared, stretched? Are you flashed and tuned or stretched? Is your rev limiter extended past stock 11,000 RPMs. Are you starting in 1st or 2nd gear and from what MPH...40/50/60? What's both rider's weight as you already know that the ZX14R is already at a disadvantage weight wise as it relates to the R1M? From videos I've watched, the R1M is one fast bike and I've yet to run across one in the streets.
To give you an idea I run 16/43 and sometimes stock 17/42 and I consistently beat S1000RR, 3rd Gen Hayabusas and the latest gen GSXR 1000s. Now I'm flashed/tuned/stretched 8" over with a full Brocks exhaust and Sprint P08-F1 85 filter. In my group we start out at 40 MPH and I start in 1st gear(17/42) or 2nd gear(16/43) where I hammer the throttle and get the jump by 1-2 bike lengths and continue to lead and spread the gap up to 180-190 MPH.
I'm surprised that you're getting the jump on the R1M and it passes you at 130 MPH which you should be in 4th gear at this time. The ZX14R is a top end monster and shines in the upper RPM/MPH range. You may want to gear down a tooth or 2 in the rear and see if that helps. I tell you this, when I was at SWB and was running 16/43 a BMW S1000RR did exactly what you described in your scenario. On another day I swapped back to 17/42 at SWB and I ended up winning against the S1000RR.
